Healthy participants needed for the study of 2 experimental new tracers to help diagnosing and monitoring metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). You must be aged 23 to 75, with a BMI between 18.5 and 24.9. Smokers of up to10 cigarettes a day are allowed. It involves 1 screening visit, 1 MRI (in July), 2 PET scans (on 03 August and 7 October), and 1 phone call.

Healthy participants needed for the study of an experimental new medicine for a rare blood cancer. You must be aged 18 to 65, weigh at least 50 Kg, and have a BMI between 18 and 40. Smokers and vapers are not allowed. Women able to become pregnant must have an implant, an IUD or an IUS. It involves 4 nights’ residence on our wards and 4 outpatient visits. Admissions on 13, 15, 20 and 21 July 2026.
£3,250 (placebo) or £8,500 (if you receive the study drug)
Healthy participants needed for the study of an experimental new medicine for treating age-related macular degeneration. You must be aged 18 to 65. Smokers and vapers are allowed but you can’t smoke or vape while on the ward. It involves up to 2 screening visits including vaccinations for meningitis and pneumonia, 3 nights’ residence on our wards and 4 outpatient visits (if on placebo), plus 5 additional follow-ups (if you receive the study drug). Admission on 24 August and 7 September 2026.

Healthy participants needed for the study of an experimental new treatment for primary biliary cholangitis (PBC). You must be aged 18 to 65 and have a BMI between 18 and 30. Smokers and vapers are allowed but you can’t smoke or vape while in the ward. It involves 3 nights’ residence on our wards and 5 outpatient visits (if on placebo), plus 1 additional follow-up (if you receive the study drug). Admissions on 18 and 19 August 2026.

Healthy participants needed for the study of an experimental new medicine for treating various immune system diseases. You must be aged 18 to 65, with a BMI between 18 and 32, weigh at least 50 kg, and not have used nicotine products in the last year. You must also have had a Tetanus vaccination in the past. It involves 8 nights’ residence on our wards and 9 outpatient visits, over 4 months. Admissions on 15, 19 and 20 July 2026.

Healthy participants needed for the study of an experimental new medicine for treating age-related macular degeneration. You must be aged 18 to 65. Smokers and vapers are allowed but you can’t smoke or vape while on the ward. You must also have had a vaccination for meningitis and pneumonia. It involves 3 nights’ residence on our wards and 4 outpatient visits (if on placebo), plus 5 additional follow-ups (if you receive the study drug). Admissions on 20 July and 3 August 2026.

Healthy participants needed for the study of an experimental new medicine for organ damage in acute pancreatitis. You must be aged 18 to 55, with a BMI between 18.5 and 32, weigh at least 50 kg, and not have used nicotine products in the last 6 months. Oral contraceptives are not allowed. It involves 2 screenings (including an echocardiogram), 11 nights’ residence, and 2 outpatient visits. Admissions on 27 July and 17 August 2026.

Healthy men needed for the study of an experimental new medication for the treatment of incomplete response - major depressive disorder (IR-MDD). You must be aged 23 to 55, with BMI 18 to 32, and not have used nicotine products for at least 2 months. It involves up to 4 screenings (including an MRI and an echocardiogram), 3 PET scans, 3 nights’ residence on our ward and 1 follow-up. Participants are expected to experience a psychedelic effect while inside the PET scanner. Next admission on 4 August 2026.
Up to £2,380 + reasonable travel expenses
People with Chemotherapy Induced Peripheral Neuropathy (CIPN) needed for the study of a potential new medicine, given as a gel, to treat the condition. You must be aged 18 to 80, have received chemotherapy treatment for cancer and be in remission, and have had CIPN for at least 3 months. It involves up to 6 outpatient visits (including 3 optional skin biopsies) and 1 telephone follow-up. Study ongoing.
