Healthy postmenopausal women not using regular medication apart from HRT needed for the study of a testosterone patch for treating hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD). You must be aged 18 to 70, with BMI 18 to 35. Light smokers/vapers allowed. Your periods must have stopped naturally, or you must have had both of your ovaries removed at least 6 months ago. It involves 1 session of 2 nights’ residence on the ward, 1 session of 6 nights’ residence and 1 follow-up. Admissions 12 and 19 January 2026.

Healthy men needed for the study of an experimental new medication for the treatment of incomplete response - major depressive disorder (IR-MDD). You must be aged 23 to 55, with BMI 18 to 32, and not have used nicotine products for at least 2 months. It involves up to 4 screenings (including an MRI and an echocardiogram), 3 PET scans, 3 nights’ residence on our ward and 1 follow-up. Participants are expected to experience a psychedelic effect while inside the PET scanner. Starts 3 February 2026.

Healthy participants needed for the study of an experimental new medicine for organ damage in acute pancreatitis. You must be aged 18 to 55, with a BMI between 18.5 and 32, weigh at least 50 kg, and not have used nicotine products in the last 6 months. Oral contraceptives are not allowed. It involves 2 screenings (including an echocardiogram), 11 nights’ residence, and 2 outpatient visits. Admissions on 14 and 22 January 2026

Up to £2,380 + reasonable travel expenses
People with Chemotherapy Induced Peripheral Neuropathy (CIPN) needed for the study of a potential new medicine, given as a gel, to treat the condition. You must be aged 18 to 80, have received chemotherapy treatment for cancer and be in remission, and have had CIPN for at least 3 months. It involves up to 6 outpatient visits (including 3 optional skin biopsies) and 1 telephone follow-up. Study ongoing.
Healthy participants with no history of mental health problems needed for the study of a potential new treatment for treatment-resistant depression. The study drug is a man-made form of a natural psychedelic drug. You must be aged 18 to 64, have a BMI between 18.5 and 35, and not have used any nicotine products in the last 6 months. This study involves 2 sessions of 1 night’s residence on our wards, 5 telephone calls, and 2 outpatient visits. Admissions on 11, 12, 13, 15, 18, 19, and 21 January 2026.

People with treatment resistant depression (at least two failed treatments) needed for the study of a potential new medicine for treating the condition. You must be aged 18 to 75 and have been taking sertraline, citalopram or escitalopram, at a stable dose, for at least 6 weeks. You can’t take part if you’ve used any psychedelic substances in the last 6 months. It involves 2 nights’ residence on our wards, and 11 outpatient visits (some of them can be video calls). Study ongoing.
