Healthy men needed for the study of a potential new medicine for treating HIV -1- infections. You must be 30 to 50, willing to consume gelatine and a non-smoker for at least 6 months. Other nicotine products are not allowed in the last 3 months. The study involves 2 sessions of 9 days and 8 nights' residence in our wards and 1 follow-up. You may have to stay on the ward for up to 15 nights in Session 2; you'll get an additional £150 for each extra 24 h. Starts 13 Oct.

Healthy men needed for the study of a potential new treatment for schizophrenia. You must be aged 18 to 45, willing to consume gelatin, and not have used any nicotine products in the last 3 months. The study involves a 16 nights’ residence in our wards, 2 outpatient visits and 1 follow-up. Group starting 26 Oct 2020

You must be 18 to 55, and not have used any nicotine products in the last 3 months. The study involves 1 session of 7 days and 6 nights' residence in our wards, and 3 outpatient visits. Healthy people who vape (using e-cigarettes or e-liquids containing nicotine) are needed for a study of a marketed medicine that can help smokers also could help e-cigarette users to control their cravings. You must be aged 19 to 55 and if you also smoke, be willing to stop smoking for 9 days. The study involves 1 screening visit, and residence in our modern wards for 2 days and 1 night. Groups ongoing from mid-September 2020 until March 2021

£2,700 + plus reasonable travel expenses

People with eczema affecting 5 to 40 % of their body needed for the study of a potential new medicine to treat the condition. You must be 18 to 60 years old and have been diagnosed with eczema at least 6 months ago. Vegetarians and smokers are allowed. You might not be eligible if you’ve taken certain medications in the last 12 months. The trial involves 10 outpatient visits over 14 weeks. Next group starts 28 September 2020

Healthy men and women needed for the study of a potential new medicine to treat iron loading disorders (too much iron in the body). You must be 18 to 55 years old; smokers of up to 10 cigarettes  per day are allowed. If you’re a woman who’s able to have a baby, you must have an IUD, IUS or a contraceptive implant. The study involves 4 days and 3 nights’ residence in our wards, 2 outpatient visits, and 1 follow-up appointment. Next group starts 6 October 2020

Vegetarians and smokers of up to 10 cigarettes per day are allowed. The study involves 1 screening visit, 4 periods of 3 days and nights' residence in our wards, and 1 follow-up. Healthy Caucasian men and women needed for the study of a potential new medicine for treating alpha -1 - antitrypsin deficiency (AATD). You must be 18 to 65 old and a non-smoker for at least 30 days before the start of trial. Vegetarians are allowed. If you're female and able to have a baby, you must have an IUD, IUS or a contraceptive implant. The study involves 1 screening visit, 3 nights' residence in our wards and 1 follow-up. Next group starts 29 Sep 2020.

You must be right handed, aged 21 to 45, willing to consume gelatin, and a non-smoker for at least one month. The study involves 3 screening visits, 5 MRIs and 2 periods of 5 nights' residence in our wards. Next group starts 28 Sep 2020  

Healthy men and women needed for the study of a potential new medicine for treating cystic fibrosis. You must be aged 18 to 50 and a non-smoker for at least 6 months. If you're a woman able to have a baby, you must have and IUD, IUS or a contraceptive implant. The study involves 2 screening visits, 3 nights' residence in our wards, and 1 follow-up. Groups ongoing.

People with mild or moderate asthma who use only a short acing reliever inhaler needed for the study of a potential new treatment for severe asthma. You must be at least 21 years old and, if you're a woman, you must be postmenopausal, sterillised or have an IUD fitted. The trial involves 2 screening visits, 5 sessions of 2 nights' residence and 1 session of 1 night's residence. In addition, men attend 2 outpatient visits, and women attend 3. Start time TBC.
