Healthy men and women needed for the study of a potential new treatment for a rare dusease of the liver. you must be aged 18 to 55 and must not have used any nicotine products within the last 3 months. The trial involves a 16 nights' residence on our ward, and 1 follow up appointment over a 7 week period. Groups ongoing.

Healthy men and women needed for the study of a potential new medicine for treating schizophrenia and mood disorders. You must be aged 25 to 45 and must not have used any nicotine products for at least 45 days before screening. The trial involves 1 MRI and up to 4 PET scans and includes 2 screening visits, a 10 nights' residence in our wards and 1 follow up appointment. Groups ongoing

Healthy postmenopausal women aged 40 to 70 needed for the study of a potential new treatment for the symptoms of menopause, including hot flushes and night sweats. Vegetarians and smokers of up to 5 cigarettes per day are allowed. The trial involves up to 3 screening visits, 14 nights' residence in our ward and 1 follow-up appointment. Several groups starting in June.

Men and women with osteoarthritis of the knee needed for a experimental new medicine for pain caused by osteoarthritis. You must be aged 18 to 80 and if you're a woman, you must be unable to have children, because you've been through the menopause or you've been sterilised. The trial involves 2 stays of 2 nights and 2 stays of 1 night in our unit, and up to 12 outpatient visits, over a 4 month period. Groups on-going.

People with mild or moderate asthma who use a reliever inhaler (short acting reliever) only needed for the study of a potential new treatment for severe asthma. You must be at least 21 years old and, if you're a woman, you must be postmenopausal, sterillised or have an IUD fitted. The trial involves 2 screening visits, 5 sessions of 2 nights' residence and 1 session of 1 night residence. In addition, men attend 2 outpatient visits, and women attend 3. Study on-going.

Men and women with Osteoarthritis of the knee needed for a potential new treatment that may reduce the pain in OA and slow down the rate of the disease. You must be aged 30 to 79 and if you're a woman, be unable to have a baby because you are postmenopausal or you've been sterilised. Vegetarians and smokers of up to 10 cigarettes per day are allowed. The trial involves up to 4 nights' residence, 8 outpatient visits and 1 follow up. Groups on-going

Men and women with psoriasis or atopic dermatitis needed for a potential new treatment to help reduce the symptoms of inflammatory diseases such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis.
