Healthy volunteers needed for the study of a potential new treatment for non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), a type of liver disease. You must be 18 to 45 years old, willing to consume gelatine and not have used any nicotine products in the last 12 months. You won’t be eligible if you are of East Asian origin. Vegetarians are allowed. The study involves 2 sessions of 3 nights’ residence on our wards and 11 outpatient visits. Starts 23 Nov 2020

Healthy men and women needed for the study of a potential new medicine for treating cystic fibrosis. You must be aged 18 to 50 and a non-smoker for at least 6 months. If you’re a woman able to have a baby, you must have and IUD, IUS or a contraceptive implant. The study involves 8 nights’ residence on our wards, and 1 follow-up. Group starting 18 November 2020

Healthy men needed for the study of a potential new medicine for treating chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, CIDP. You must be 18 to 55 years old, weigh more than 50 kg and have a BMI between 17.5 and 30.5. Vegetarians and smokers of up to 5 cigarettes or 3 grams of tobacco per day are allowed. The study involves 9 days and 8 nights’ residence on our wards, and 5 outpatient visits. Groups starting every Monday from 9 November 2020 

Healthy men needed for the study of a potential new treatment for schizophrenia. You must be aged 18 to 45, willing to consume gelatin, and not have used any nicotine products in the last 3 months. The study involves a 16 nights’ residence in our wards, 2 outpatient visits and 1 follow-up. Start date to be confirmed.

Healthy men needed for the study of a potential new medicine for treating communication difficulties and sleep problems linked to autism. You must be 18 to 55, and not have used any nicotine products in the last 3 months. The study involves 1 session of 7 days and 6 nights' residence in our wards, and 3 outpatient visits. Starts 1 November 2020

Healthy men and women needed for the study of a potential new medicine to treat iron loading disorders (too much iron in the body). You must be 18 to 55 years old; smokers of up to 10 cigarettes per day are allowed. If you’re a woman who’s able to have a baby, you must have an IUD, IUS or a contraceptive implant. The study involves 3 nights’ residence in our wards, 2 outpatient visits, and 1 follow-up. Group starting 5 November 2020

People with mild or moderate asthma who use only a short acing reliever inhaler needed for the study of a potential new treatment for severe asthma. You must be at least 21 years old and, if you're a woman, you must be postmenopausal, sterillised or have an IUD fitted. The trial involves 2 screening visits, 5 sessions of 2 nights' residence and 1 session of 1 night's residence. In addition, men attend 2 outpatient visits, and women attend 3. Start time TBC.
