Healthy men and women needed for a potential new treatment for illnesses that affect the brain, such as Alzheimer's and schizophrenia. You must be aged 65 or older and, If you're a woman, you must be postmenopausal or surgically sterilised. You must not have used any nicotine products within the last 3 months and vegetarians are allowed. The trial involves a 14 nights' residence, 2 outpatient visit and 1 follow-up appointment. Groups ongoing.
Healthy men and women needed for the study of a potential new medicine for treating schizophrenia and mood disorders. You must be aged 25 to 45 and must not have used any nicotine products for at least 45 days before screening. The trial involves 1 MRI and up to 4 PET scans and includes 2 screening visits, a 10 nights' residence in our wards and 1 follow-up appointment. Groups starting in August 2019.

People with mild or moderate asthma who use only a short acing reliever inhaler needed for the study of a potential new treatment for severe asthma. You must be at least 21 years old and, if you're a woman, you must be postmenopausal, sterillised or have an IUD fitted. The trial involves 2 screening visits, 5 sessions of 2 nights' residence and 1 session of 1 night residence. In addition, men attend 2 outpatient visits, and women attend 3. Study ongoing.
Men and women with Osteoarthritis of the knee needed for a potential new treatment that may reduce the pain in OA and slow down the rate of the disease. You must be aged 30 to 79 and if you're a woman, be unable to have a baby because you are postmenopausal or you've been sterilised. Vegetarians and smokers of up to 10 cigarettes per day are allowed. The trial involves up to 4 nights' residence, 8 outpatient visits and 1 follow-up. Groups ongoing.
