Healthy men needed for a potential new treatment for illnesses that affect the brain. You must be aged 18 to 55 and must not have used any nicotine products within the last 3 months. You must also exercise at least twice per week. The trial involves 4 periods of 4 nights' residence, 4 outpatient visits and 1 follow up appointment. Group starts November 2017.

Healthy men needed for a potential new treatment for anaemia caused by kidney disease. You must be aged 30 to 55 and must not have used any nicotine products for at least 6 months. The trial involves a 7 nights' residence followed by a 8 to 15 night residence, and 1 follow up appointment. Group starts October 2017.

Healthy men who have had a vasectomy and women who are postmenopausal, or have been sterilised, or have an IUD, needed for the study of a potential new treatment for prostate cancer. Age range is 18 to 65, and light smokers and vegetarians are allowed. The trial involves 3 periods of 4 nights' residence and 1 follow up. Group starting October 2017

Healthy men and women needed for a potential new treatment for osteoarthritis (OA). You must be aged 18 to 65 and if you're a woman, be unable to have a baby because you are postmenopausal or have been sterilised. Smokers of up to 10 cigarettes per day are allowed. The trial involves a 4 nights' residence, 5 OP visits, and 1 follow up. Group starting October 2017

Men and women with osteoarthritis of the knee needed for the study of a potential new treatment for osteoarthritis (OA) pain. You must be aged 18 to 80 and, if female, be of non-childbearing potential. The trial involves 4 screening visits (including an x-ray and an MRI), 2 nights' residence, and 4 to 6 outpatient visits. Group starting October 2017

Mild asthmatic needed for a potential new treatment for respiratory syncytial virus. You must be aged 18 to 65 and must not have used any nicotine products for at least 6 months. If female, you must be of non-child bearing potential or use an Intrauterine device or implant. The trial involves 2 screening visits, 1 residence period of 2 nights, 1 outpatient visit and 1 follow up. Group starting October 2017.

People with mild allergic asthma needed. You must be 18-55, and a non-smoker for 6 months. You must only use a short-acting reliever to control your asthma. Females must be postmenopausal for at least 12 months or have had a hysterectomy, tubal ligation, or removal of your ovaries. The trial involves upto 22 visits, and possibly up to 4 overnight stays. Group starting October 2017

up to £450

Men and women with Crohn's disease needed for a study in which we aim to locate the areas of inflammation in the bowel accurately, and see how much inflammation there is. You must be at least 20 years old, and not have any additional gastrointestinal problems. The trial involves 2 outpatient visits over 1 month, and includes CT and PET scans. Group starting October 2017

Mild or moderate asthmatics needed for a potential new treatment for asthma. You must be 18 to 65 and consistently use your preventer. If you're a woman you must be of non-child bearing potential. You must be a non-smoker for at least 12 months and not use any products containing nicotine for 6 months. The trial involves a 4 nights' residence and 11 outpatient visits. Group starting November 2017.

Men and women who have moderate COPD needed for a potential new inhaler to treat the disease. You must be aged 40 to 75, and a current smoker or an ex-smoker. The trial involves 2 days and 2 nights' residence in our unit, and 1 follow up appointment. Group starting October 2017.

Moderate asthmatics needed for a potential new treatment for asthma. You must be aged 18 to 60 and be a non-smoker for at least 12 months. Vegetarians are allowed. You must be currently using medium doses of inhaled steroid with or without a reliever for at least 1 month. The trial involves 12 outpatient visits and will last 10 months. Groups are on-going.
